Company History

Greencot limited is an international cotton trading house in Bangladesh since 1980. We represent cotton companies from all over the world for various growths of raw cotton to more than fifty Bangladeshi textile companies and cotton spinning mills.

Greencot was founded by our father Mr M A Aziz in 1980. He devoted his entire career in cotton trading in Bangladesh. His cotton career began in 1967. In 1976, Mr. Aziz co-founded Deshcot Limited representing Hohenberg Brothers (Cargil Cotton) and other reputed suppliers in Bangladesh. Under his leadership, Deshcot became the leader in cotton business in Bangladesh and sold hundreds of thousands of bales of US raw cotton to Bangladesh Textile Mills Corporation (BTMC) and to private textile mills. In 1980, he established his own company Greencot Limited. Greencot had been working relentlessly to develop a strong and sustainable business relations with local mills as well as with its principals around the globe.
